Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the Samajwadi Party and former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, is set to host a significant public outreach event in Agra on June 14 as part of his 'Vision India – Plan, Develop & Ascent' campaign. This initiative aims to strengthen the development narrative as the state gears up for the crucial 2027 assembly elections. The campaign seeks to engage youth, small businesses, and various communities to foster a consensus on a forward-looking agenda. The Vision India programs have already been conducted in several cities, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, with additional summits planned in Noida, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Kanpur, and Jhansi. Yadav has pointed out that the economy of Uttar Pradesh heavily relies on small and micro-entrepreneurs, who are often overlooked by government policies favoring large corporations. He envisions Vision India as a roadmap for creating a 'Neo India' that is modern, inclusive, and free from discrimination. The program promotes innovation and collaboration through seminars and discussions, focusing on planning for the future, developing practical solutions, and positioning India as a global leader in technology and innovation.
