Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that construction of a new international bus terminal on 100 acres in Gajularamaram will commence within three months. This project is part of a comprehensive development plan focusing on urban growth in Hyderabad over the next 24 months. Reddy emphasized the need for strategic urban planning to address issues like pollution and traffic congestion that affect major metropolitan areas across India. The government also plans to build 100,000 houses for lower and middle-income families within Greater Hyderabad. Additionally, the second phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project is set to advance as part of this long-term strategy. Reddy criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party for not securing adequate central funds for development initiatives, including the Musi River rejuvenation project. He also highlighted various welfare programs, such as free bus travel for women and educational initiatives for underprivileged children, showcasing the government's commitment to social welfare.
