The operation was initiated based on specific intelligence from the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Security forces spent approximately six hours ensuring the area was fully sanitized and free of threats. During this time, they recovered a substantial cache of explosives, including 14 Soviet-made OG-7V fragmentation rounds and 09 PG-7P propellant charges, all packaged for concealment. The recovered materials were examined and safely destroyed by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) of J&K Police, mitigating a potential threat to the region. Following the operation, an FIR was registered under the Explosive Substances Act and Arms Act at PS Chandoosa, and investigations are underway.
