Jahed Khan, a 25-year-old hotel waiter from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested by Medchal police in Hyderabad for allegedly attempting to collaborate with militants connected to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Khan had been in regular contact with these militants through Instagram, sharing sensitive information about prominent individuals and security details in exchange for the promise of terrorist training in Pakistan. Since moving to Hyderabad in February 2023, Khan had taken up employment at Mubarak Hotel while secretly cultivating ties with ISI operatives. Investigators revealed that he followed through on tasks assigned by his Pakistan-based contact, which included gathering and sharing VIP-related information. During his arrest, police seized Khan's mobile phone, which contained incriminating communications, and two imitation pistols. The phone is currently being examined by police and intelligence officials for further evidence of his extremist activities. Authorities have registered a case against Khan, who has been remanded to custody as the investigation continues.
