Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman delivered a memorable performance at the 250th US Independence Day celebrations held in New Delhi, where his iconic anthem 'Jai Ho' was the highlight. The event, organized by the US Embassy, showcased the strengthening partnership between India and the United States, attended by notable figures such as External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Rahman's electrifying rendition received enthusiastic applause, symbolizing the cultural connection between the two nations. In addition to 'Jai Ho', he performed a medley of his well-known tracks, including 'Dil Se', 'Muqabla', and 'Fanaa'. During the event, US Ambassador Sergio Gor spoke about the collaborative opportunities between the two countries, stating, "America first does not mean America alone." The celebration was part of Rubio's visit to India, which includes participation in the Quad Foreign Ministers' Meeting, focusing on security discussions in the Indo-Pacific region.
