Ranchi University (RU) in Jharkhand, India, has successfully achieved zero result pendency, a milestone that marks a significant improvement in its administrative efficiency. All examination results, including those from the past six months, have been declared, with the final batch released on May 22, 2023. This achievement comes as the university prepares to conduct four undergraduate and one postgraduate examination by the first week of August 2023. Smriti Singh, the head of the chemistry department and public relations officer, stated that the results were previously delayed due to technical issues. The university's new Vice Chancellor, Saroj Sharma, has been instrumental in this turnaround, holding meetings with the examination department to prioritize timely result publication. This unprecedented accomplishment in RU's history is especially noteworthy as other state-run universities face challenges in regularizing their academic sessions. Additionally, a recent two-day meeting among vice chancellors and registrars highlighted the need for a common academic calendar for all state universities, reflecting a collaborative approach to improving educational administration in Jharkhand.
