Target has issued a recall for select Up & Up brand baby wipes due to potential bacterial contamination that poses serious health risks, particularly to infants and young children. The recall affects both Fragrance Free and Fresh Cucumber Scented Baby Wipes, which were sold in Target stores and online nationwide. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) identified Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli bacteria in some samples, leading to concerns over infections that could spread into the bloodstream, resulting in severe conditions like sepsis or pneumonia. The affected wipes were manufactured between November 2025 and May 2026. Target has received reports of skin and eye irritation associated with these products, which are currently being investigated. Customers are advised to check the manufacturing and expiration dates on their wipes and to stop using them immediately. Affected consumers can return the wipes to any Target store for a full refund.
