A 23-year-old man was arrested near the M5 motorway in Oldbury after he drove a stolen vehicle the wrong way around a roundabout. The incident began when the car was reported stolen from an address in Halesowen around 9 am on Sunday, May 24. The suspect allegedly returned to the same location armed with a Rambo-style knife. Police were dispatched and located the vehicle on Churchbridge, heading towards junction 2 of the M5. Armed officers made tactical contact on the slip road to prevent the suspect from entering the motorway on the wrong side. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, dangerous driving, and possession of a knife. A knife was recovered from the vehicle, and the slip road was closed temporarily while police managed the situation. The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
