FUJIFILM India has announced the installation of its AI-powered digital mammography system, AMULET SOPHINITY, at NM Medical in Mumbai. This system aims to improve early breast cancer detection, a critical need as breast cancer is projected to be the leading cancer among women in India, with over 2.32 lakh cases expected by 2025, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research. The AMULET SOPHINITY integrates advanced AI technologies that enhance diagnostic precision and workflow efficiency. Key features include a thinner, curved-edge detector designed to reduce discomfort for patients during procedures and Comfort Comp technology that intelligently manages compression pressure. The system also incorporates Fujifilm’s REiLI Medical AI technologies to optimize dose management and support consistent imaging quality. The Managing Director of FUJIFILM India, Koji Wada, emphasized the company's commitment to advancing healthcare technologies in India. Dr. Nilesh Shah, Chairman of NM Medical, noted that this installation enhances their capability to provide reliable and patient-centric diagnostic solutions. This launch reflects a significant step towards improving women's healthcare services in India.
