Misa Bharti, a Member of Parliament from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has criticized the Bihar government for serving an eviction notice to her parents, former Chief Ministers Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi. She alleges that this action is a deliberate distraction from pressing issues such as unemployment and inflation. The state government recently downgraded their Z-plus security cover, leading to the removal of security personnel from their residence at 10 Circular Road in Patna. Bharti questioned the government's motives, emphasizing that her parents have a significant political history, including Rabri Devi being the first woman Chief Minister of Bihar. The eviction notice coincides with the allocation of their residence to Bihar Minister Nand Kishore Ram. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary defended the government's decision, asserting that government accommodations should not be treated as personal property. In response, Rabri Devi has stated her refusal to vacate the premises, indicating a potential confrontation.
