On June 9, President Droupadi Murmu welcomed a five-member delegation of sevayats from Maa Biraja Temple to Rashtrapati Bhavan, fulfilling a promise made during her visit to Odisha earlier in the year. The delegation, led by Debiprasad Pani, president of the servitor council, received a warm reception in the grand halls of Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Murmu personally greeted the servitors, providing them with hospitality and arranging a ceremonial feast. Accompanying the group were Jajpur Sub-Collector Tapas Ranjan Dehuri and temple trustees. The servitors will be guests at Rashtrapati Bhavan for three days, during which they will tour Delhi's historic landmarks and cultural sites. Additionally, President Murmu extended her invitation to servitors from Puri Jagannath Temple, further reinforcing her deep connection with the spiritual traditions of Odisha. This gesture highlights the President's commitment to honoring and promoting India's rich cultural heritage.
