Uttar Pradesh is currently experiencing varied weather conditions, with some regions facing intense heat while others have cloud cover. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heatwaves affecting 14 districts, including Jhansi, Kanpur, and Varanasi. Hot winds are expected to blow at speeds of 20-30 km/h, particularly in capital city Lucknow, which will see bright sunshine. A change in weather is anticipated on June 11, with light rain and thunderstorms expected in both western and eastern parts of the state. This mixed weather pattern is likely to persist until June 14, with significant rainfall predicted on June 12. Additionally, an orange alert for lightning has been issued for certain areas. The IMD noted that monsoon activity is expected to intensify in Uttar Pradesh soon, following the southwest monsoon's arrival in parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka on June 8, while pre-monsoon activities have already begun in the state.
