A sequel to the 1997 cult classic comedy Romy and Michele's High School Reunion is officially in production, as confirmed by Deadline. Original stars Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino will reprise their roles, with the film set to stream exclusively on Hulu. The announcement was made via 20th Century Studios' Instagram, showcasing Kudrow and Sorvino in their iconic costumes. Nearly three decades have passed since the original film, where the duo hilariously pretended to be successful businesswomen at their high school reunion. The sequel will bring back familiar faces, including Alan Cumming, Janeane Garofalo, and Camryn Manheim, while also introducing new cast members like Keegan-Michael Key and Rob Huebel. Iconic costume designer Mona May is returning to ensure the fashion remains as vibrant and fun as in the original. Directed by Tim Federle and written by Robin Schiff, the film promises to capture the essence of the beloved characters while introducing fresh elements.
