In response to the devastating magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Mindanao, the Bangsamoro government has dispatched its Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) team to the Soccsksargen region. This deployment, as announced by Bangsamoro Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua, is part of a coordinated effort with the Office of Civil Defense–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (OCD-BAR) to enhance disaster response capabilities. The RDANA team is tasked with conducting on-the-ground assessments, executing search-and-rescue operations, and collecting vital data regarding infrastructure damage and urgent humanitarian needs in affected communities. The aim is to strengthen coordination among various responding agencies and ensure effective information management. The team utilized Philippine Air Force helicopters to reach General Santos City and Sarangani Province, where they will begin their operations to assist those impacted by the earthquake, which has already resulted in significant casualties and injuries as reported by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
