He specifically targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, demanding that he either apologize for past allegations against the Election Commission or admit that the Commission aided the UDF's electoral success in Kerala. The BJP has drawn parallels with a similar situation in West Bengal, where they criticized the appointment of a former state CEO as Chief Secretary. Muraleedharan's statements reflect a broader strategy by the BJP to challenge Congress's integrity in handling electoral matters, suggesting that Kelkar's new role is indicative of the party's questionable practices. The BJP's Keralam unit has also echoed these sentiments on social media, urging Congress to cease misleading the public regarding electoral integrity.
