Pacifico 'Curlee' Discaya II, along with two engineers from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), is currently held in separate isolation units at the Bulacan Provincial Jail for security reasons. Discaya was transferred to this facility after being in Senate custody since September. He faces charges of graft and malversation related to alleged irregularities in a flood control project valued at ₱53.9 million. Jail warden Enrico Vargas confirmed that the detainees are safe and not receiving any special treatment, with guards monitoring them continuously. Discaya's lawyer, Cornelio Samaniego, indicated plans to file a motion for bail, despite the charges typically being considered nonbailable. All three detainees underwent medical examinations upon arrival and were found to be in good health.
