Mark 'Yinka' Orabiyi, professionally known as Talay Riley, was tragically found dead in a garden in Silvertown, east London, after suffering fatal stab wounds. The police received a report of the stabbing around 9 a.m. on Friday and discovered Orabiyi at the scene, where paramedics were unable to save him. His family described him as a beloved son and talented artist, emphasizing his warmth and the joy he brought to many. Orabiyi was a Grammy-winning songwriter, recognized for his work with major artists including Usher, Britney Spears, and Chris Brown, and had earned acclaim for writing “Lights On” by H.E.R. Following the incident, three individuals were arrested, including a 27-year-old man, a 24-year-old man, and a 25-year-old woman. The 27-year-old has since been released on bail, while the others were released without charges. Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke is leading the investigation and has urged anyone with information or footage related to the incident to come forward. Another victim, a man in his 20s, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
