Lucknow is currently grappling with extreme heat and humidity, as temperatures soared to 42 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, which is two degrees above the normal range. The minimum temperature was recorded at approximately 29 degrees Celsius, also above normal. High relative humidity levels, fluctuating between 35% and 63%, have made conditions feel even more uncomfortable, pushing the 'feels-like' temperature to nearly 45 degrees Celsius. Residents have reported difficulties in venturing outdoors during peak hours due to the oppressive weather. The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Lucknow indicated that while light rain was observed in isolated areas, it did little to alleviate the heat, instead adding to the humidity. Looking ahead, the weather is expected to remain hot and humid for the next two days, with maximum temperatures projected to hover around 42 degrees Celsius and minimums around 30 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists noted that Banda was the hottest location in the state, recording 45 degrees Celsius, followed by Prayagraj at 44.6 degrees Celsius and Jhansi at 44.4 degrees Celsius.
