In response to severe traffic congestion at the Allwyn and Miyapur junctions in Hyderabad, the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has launched a ₹530-crore project aimed at constructing flyovers and vehicle underpasses. This initiative addresses the daily passage of over 28,000 passenger car units through these critical bottlenecks along the NH-65 corridor. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the project on June 8, 2026. The proposed infrastructure will cover 3.248 km, including a 1.79-km bi-directional bridge and two uni-directional underpasses at Miyapur Junction. Officials anticipate that these improvements will facilitate uninterrupted traffic flow, significantly reducing congestion and travel time. The project is also expected to yield economic and environmental benefits, such as lower fuel consumption and reduced carbon emissions, while enhancing road safety. Additionally, it is designed to complement existing public transportation systems, including the Hyderabad Metro Rail, thereby fostering a more efficient mobility network in the city.
