The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India has alerted students about issues with incorrect fee deductions during the application process for scanned copies of answer books on May 21 and 22. These discrepancies were attributed to technical issues. Students who were charged excess fees will receive refunds to their original payment methods, while those charged less will be notified to pay the remaining balance. CBSE confirmed that scanned copies of answer books will still be available despite the fee issues and advised students not to submit new requests. To enhance the re-evaluation process, India's Education Minister has formed a team of technical experts and professors from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur to assess and improve the IT infrastructure. This includes ensuring the accuracy of login authentication, user access systems, and payment gateways. Additionally, CBSE has denied rumors regarding the cancellation of the re-evaluation process and encouraged students to check the official website for verified information. The board has also announced a full refund for students whose marks increase post-re-evaluation and reduced fees for obtaining scanned copies. The deadline for obtaining these copies has been extended to May 24.
