The party proposes stricter penalties, including increasing fines for fly-tipping from £1,000 to £5,000 and introducing a new aggravated offence for large-scale dumping with minimum fines of £20,000. Vehicle seizure will become standard for repeat offenders. Additionally, the party plans to implement a National Action Day, where MPs will lead community clean-up efforts to foster civic pride. The initiative comes amid rising concerns over litter and illegal dumping sites, which have become prevalent issues in various regions, including the Makerfield by-election area and Oxfordshire. Reform UK's Deputy Leader Richard Tice criticized previous governments for neglecting the state of public spaces and emphasized the need for personal responsibility and accountability among local councils.
